When cut down, you will respawn where you died. Wound rp is expected for a period of time decided by a doctor, based on the severity of the wound. Wound-rp time results in not being able to fight, and may last as short a time as one hour or as long as two days.
All gear is kept upon defeat. If the situation is roleplayed adequately, gear may be taken after a character is knocked unconscious or CK'd. Both parties must agree, and gear may be damaged after serious fighting which might impact the liklihood of taking looted armour.
Factions are permanent
Any “Faction” may aid in a fight without someone saying “Help”
Fighting OOCly (Out of character) is not allowed; any fighting will be taken IC (In character), which leads to consequences for your character.
You may not remake a new character that has any knowledge of your last character or is a blood relation.
You may not CK someone without asking for admin approval.
Any trolling EG: Randomly punching, troll names or fail role-play will result in a ban.
You must have a realistic role-play name, no clan tags or ranks.
You may not have a noble title unless a biography is accepted.
Character biographies are expected if your character begins as:
- a Lord
- a noble
- a knight (or equivalent level warrior for any other faction)
- an unaffiliated player starting with knight-level gear
- playing as an admin-controlled class (such as commoner footman/archer, etc)
You may not kill anyone without a valid reason.
You may not take item’s from any faction armoury’s
You may not run once you have been cut down
Any OOC thoughts must have “//” before the text
No metagaming
Factions may start out with a maximum of seven members: one lord, two knight or knight equivalent warriors (Man at Arms and Seargent level), and four lower level troops (such as Archers, Footmen, Doctors, Serfs, etc. depending on what is available in your faction training). One additional player may be recruited each week, and joining the faction must be roleplayed out in character.
This is a role-play server unlike any other in PW. Some of you may have played HCRP before but this is a more improved and hardcore version.
Your Objective: Your objective in Aria is to role-play how your character would act in his biography for example he might be a sarranid slaver, so now IC he may choose to go and work for the sarranid lord trying to gain a much money, power and influence as he can while not getting killed for it.
Features of Arion RolePlay: When you are cut down you will respawn where you were cut down with all of your gear still on you. Type /help for some code that may be helpful to you and /GUID to check your GUID number (Needed to start a new character)
Your life: The actions you take in Arion RolePlay have consequences, here would be an example, if person A steals a bucket from person B and person B cuts down person A and takes back his bucket and decides not to kill person A, until the day person A dies person B will remember this action person a took and may choose to shun him IC because of it. (Characters can forever if you are good at role-playing). This means if you rob someone saying “500 or Die” while this would be “Legit” role-play they can remember who robbed them and your character can be killed.
OOC and IC: OOC means Out-Of-Character. Meaning anything said is not to be taken IC (In-Character) so if I was to be role playing fishing with a friend I would type “//” which indicates this is OOC that I will “// Be right back”
eib]Metagaming:[/b] Meta game involves anything said in OOC in or out of the server about something important that has happened IC that may affect or change there decision IC.
Factions: Each faction is controlled by a player lord who keeps control of the faction even when offline, they cannot be “Capped” by players and only through role-play or admin event may a lord get deposed an example of the current situation might be if the Khergit and Sarranid lords have a serious dispute about unclaimed land that starts a De-Jure war.
Raiding rule: The Nords are permitted to raid every two weeks, under admin supervision. The raids are timed events, lasting for five to ten minutes after the portcullis is 'broken down' (a process which takes two minutes.) When a raider is struck down they must immediately return to their boat. The wound cooldown for any Nordic Raider who falls in this time is automatically set to two days without fighting.
Lords are permitted only to sell armoury items/excluding lord items and cannot sell any other items. Also they cannot sell items gifted to them by a admin
